KARLI HENNEMAN is a los angeles based artist exploring abstraction
through a minimalist vocabulary of serene tonal shifts, and the
interplay of bold shapes and dynamic lines.

inspired by time and decay, she allows the paint to move
organically atop her substrate and dry in open air environments.
her approach is spontaneous and intuitivly connected to the
materials.the emotional landscape of her work is a contemplative
journey though modern gestures and visual harmony.

her black and white photography is an expression of preserving
quiet moments of self- reflection and feelings experienced in
nature. a tribute to the wonder, poetry, and light of her
surroundings.

karli will soon be releasing a limited-edition art book documenting
her current series, “memori”. this new series challenges the illusion
of control, and explores the relationship of her past and present
emotional experiences.
